Governmental & Community Relations

April 5 @ 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM

With the General Election seven months away, many private discussions seem to turn to ideologies and political partisanship. It is important to keep in mind that we each have the right to our own
opinions – which may or may not follow any specific path.

The Chamber is a non-partisan organization that embraces all beliefs. A part of our purpose is to be a convener who educates our members on all sides of issues while advocating for business. We limit the
positions we take on issues and legislation to those bills and ballot measures that impact how businesses are regulated, mandated, and taxed.

At the April 5th Governmental & Community Relations meeting, we will hear from Dr. Kevin O’Leary, a well-known academian and journalist focused on the point of view that illuminates the “swing
voters” who make up the segment of the voting population that may very well help to decide political races because they are not often swayed by partisan loyalty nor rhetoric…
and are often less influenced by mass media.
